This is a versatile illusion prop that can be used for several different effects but was specifically designed for J C's original illusion presentation described in "Illusionary Departures". J C first performed this illusion for live TV in Sep 2004.
The effect is as follows:
A girl dances sensually across the stage and steps into a rectangular prop covered with a silver cloth skirting. The prop’s lid is closed over the girl. The illusionist reaches his arm inside the prop through a hole in the lid and pulls out various articles of clothing, apparently ‘stripping’ the girl of her clothes.
Just as her last articles of clothing are removed, the illusionist whisks the skirting away to reveal an empty crystal box. The girl has vanished!
The illusionist displays a new different set of clothes and drops it into the crystal box. The box is covered with a cloth and revolved around. The cloth is removed revealing that the girl has reappeared in the new set of clothes!
J C's innovative design and 'out of the box' fabrication approach has made this one of the most deceptive illusions of this nature ever built. The benefits of J C's illusion over other similar illusions are that it has a very modern 'non-tacky magic prop' design and is very strong. It is troupe-worthy and will easily stand the rigous of a touring show.
The prop is a professional built prop made from quality aluminum components, wood, ABS Plastic and plexi-glass.
The prop packs down completely flat in a case that measures approximately 63" x 41" x 24", with a total weight of less than 100kg.
