PACKAGE #6 - PENETRATIONS
This package details three penetration-type illusions that all employ the seance gimmick. While all may use the same basic gimmick, the design of each illusion is very different with unique thought processes and objectives.

Visual Displacement and Steel Displacement require one assistant while 6 Inches requires two.

Steel Displacement and 6 inches can be performed with audiences on 3 sides but there are additions to Visual Displacement so that it can be be presented surrounded.


Visual Displacement

Four 7ft-long steel poles are examined thoroughly by members of the audience. A spectator locks the poles into an upright freestanding frame, forming a steel-pole wall.

The illusionist stands behind the frame and raises his arms around the sides of it. A large cloth is held in front of the frame and raised up, covering the illusionist sans his hands from view. The top of the frame and poles can be seen at all times.

The cloth is lowered and dropped to the ground revealing that the illusionist has magically passed through the frame and poles!


Steel Displacement

The illusionist displays a unique but simply constructed prop. The central feature of the prop is a solid steel plate. It has two semi-circle cutouts on either side of the plate. The reason for this design feature is apparent during the performance of the illusion. Adjacent to the steel plate are two mirrors. The illusionist explains that the mirrors are put in place so that the audience can see around the sides and behind the steel plate.

Everything is mounted on a base platform with elevated legs so that the audience can have a clear view underneath and behind the prop.

The illusionist steps up onto the base platform behind the steel plate. He stands firmly behind the steel plate and reaches his arms around the steel plate and fits them into the semi-circle cutouts. A large cloth is held in front of the steel plate and raised up, covering the illusionist sans his hands from view. The top of the steel plate can be seen at all times.

The cloth is lowered and dropped to the ground revealing that the illusionist has magically passed through the steel plate!


6 Inches

A large steel plate mounted within two vertical uprights is displayed. A 6” hole is seen in the middle of the steel plate. The illusionist steps behind the steel plate and extends his hand/ arm through the 6" hole. A cloth is brought out and opened out between two assistants. The performer grasps the top of the cloth. The cloth is raised up with the performer's hand in view at all times. Instantly, the cloth is lowered to reveal the performer in front of the steel plate, apparently passing through the 6" hole.
