PACKAGE #9 - VIP Appearances

Do you need ideas and practical illusions to make a celebrity or VIP magically appear for an event?

Designing an illusion that can play in most event conditions and can be learnt by a layman in minutes is challenging and not readily available.

Backdoor Appearance

A 12” high open frame platform sits on stage. Floodlights behind and around the platform prove that there is nothing underneath it.

A rectangular curtained canopy on the platform is raised up slowly. When it is lowered, the illusionist magically appears standing on the platform


Simplex VIP Production

A number of dancers take the stage to perform a short production dance number. In the course of the routine, they bring out three frame-screens and assemble a makeshift enclosure (cabinet without a front) in the center of the stage.

2 dancers bring out a piece of cloth and raise it so that it covers the entire front of the enclosure. 2.5 seconds later, the cloth is lowered to reveal the magical appearance of the CEO.


VIP Trunk

A trunk with an open frame back and front is pushed onto stage. An all-round curtain partially covers the trunk; as the back of the curtain rests on the back corners of the trunk with the front of the curtain lying at the front base of the trunk. The audience can clearly see inside the empty trunk, through to the inside of the raised curtain. The illusionist waves his hand around the inside of the empty trunk to prove it is empty.

The curtain is lifted up, extending it to full height and immediately dropped, revealing the instant magical appearance of a VIP or celebrity!
