J C has an uncanny ability to
design props that are practical, deceptive and heavy-duty
but are still lightweight and portable. Like his Worker's
Illusion Appearance System, this is another winner!
'Transfo-ppearance' is a
super-fast transformation and appearance
illusion utility that can be used in dozens of
applications and presentations.
Basic
Effect:
A
small chest (20x 20" x 20") is seen center stage resting on a
dolly.
A doll is openly placed into the
empty chest. The
audience can see the doll in the empty
chest through its open grill front.
A cloth
is draped over
the chest and opened out. Instantly, it is whisked away to reveal
that
the doll has magically transformed into a real-life girl!
Doll is removed from and replaced inside the empty
chest.
A cloth is opened up in front of the chest
Instantly, the cloth is whisked away revealing the
Super-fast transformation/ appearance of the the doll
into a girl
Here a just few more varied presentation effects:
Costume Trunk
Presentation
A variety of costumes are displayed to the audience and a
spectator is asked to choose one. The costume is placed
into a small chest. The audience can see the costume in
the empty chest through its open grill front.
A cloth
is draped over
the chest and opened out. Instantly, it is whisked away to reveal
a pretty girl in the
chosen costume!
Lucky Prize Presentation
A small chest on a dolly is pushed out onto stage. The
audience can see three objects through its open grill front; a
doll, an envelope bearing the words '$100' printed on it and
a bottle of wine.
The Illusionist offers to
give away a prize to a lucky
spectator. He explains that he will throw a beach ball
into the audience while the music plays. Whoever catches
the ball when the music stops will have a choice of any of the prizes
inside the chest.
A spectator is chosen via
the above procedure and chooses his prizes - the money
envelope. However, when he opens it, it is shown to be
empty. The Illusionist then clarifies that he never said
that the envelope contained money, just that it is a an
envelope with the words '$100' printed on it.
The illusionist further
states that he is glad the spectator left the other two
prizes for him. With that, a cloth
is draped over
the chest and opened out. Instantly, it is whisked away to reveal
that the doll has changed into a real-life girl holding
onto the wine bottle!
Corporate Logo Launch Presentation
A blank placard is shown and placed into the chest. The
audience can see the blank placard through the open grill
front.
A cloth
is draped over
the chest and opened out. Instantly, it is whisked away to reveal
a pretty girl holding onto the placard, but now
bearing the corporate logo!
